the Eucharistic Miracle of SantarĂ©m – 13th century

A woman living in SantarĂ©m, Portugal in the 13th was distressed that her husband was unfaithful to her, and she decided to consult a sorceress for help. The sorceress told her the price of her services was a consecrated host.

She went to Mass at the Church of St. Stephen and received the Eucharist on her tongue, removed the Eucharist from her mouth, wrapped it in her veil, and headed to the door of the church. But before she got out, the host began to bleed.

When she got home, she put the bloodied host in a trunk. That night, a miraculous light emanated from the trunk. She repented of what she had done and the next morning confessed to her priest. Her priest came and retrieved the host and took it back to the church.

After an investigation and approval of the miracle, the church was renamed Church of the Holy Miracle, and the bloodied host remains on display to this day.

Conservative protests get shut down while Pride parades are apparently o...

I sense a shift is happening ( I think our country and much of the world has sunk just about as low as possible) When you see parents exposing their children to this rubbish. What the heck???

Around 2 minutes into the video you will see how perverted this all is. Just read the part I transcribed This lewd behaviour is not just accepted in front of our young children it is celebrated even.
Have we lost our collective mind?

A dad comes up to a police officer saying a man just exposed himself to their child and then the police are like well it's not okay and I agree that it's not okay but during Pride it's fine like they can break the law during Pride that the Family Guy was not off base at all and this is absolutely shocking

But why is there this free pass standard at the same time that we have a ban on having a peaceful protest outside of a drag Library you can't have a sign opposing that there are distances there's limitations you can't pray too close to an abortion clinic or have a sign uh but you can because it's Pride week because that is some sort of sacred expression as opposed to prayer and protest within Society you can expose yourself to children and that's completely fine because it is pride week

I'd love to see the internal Communications from police on basically to look the other way when grown men are exposing themselves to children it's wild it's interesting to see people outraged by some random horn honking they're perfectly fine with people exposing their genitals to small children on the streets um as is the case

They'll go to court get injunctions and then sue you if you caused them traffic inconvenience for a couple of weeks in your nation's capital while engaging in peaceful non vulgar protest yeah but you could just helicopter your wiener around town but as long as it happens during Pride week it's okay or pride month Pride season whatever they want

Three months 90 days of our lives have been co-opted by this nonsense yeah in what world is this okay?

Alarms were being sounded all over the world. And Canada seemed completely deaf to it

So-called Conversion Therapy Bill C-4

"Now that a few politicians have questioned some of this craziness that has seeped into the brains of many of our Politicians and Educators etc. concerning our children's physical emotional and spiritual well-being.. perhaps they might take a second look at therapy aimed at helping them instead. Or is that too much to expect from them? Probably is. Parents MUST be the First Educators of their Children. They belong to God and not to the State so get over it already" me

From PAFE ( Parents as First Educators )

“Alarms were being sounded all over the world. And Canada seemed completely deaf to it.”

Sweden has ended the prescription of hormones and puberty blockers for minors. Finland is encouraging that the front-line treatment for gender dysphoria should be psychotherapy, and Australia-New Zealand has said it is essential.

History of Liberal Campaign to Ban Conversion Therapy in Canada

On Monday, November 29, 2021 Federal Justice Minister David Lametti introduced Bill C-4, the revamped “Conversion Therapy” ban bill.

The new Bill C-4 was the replacement of the “old” C-6 which was on its way to becoming law, only to die before the Senate at Justin Trudeau’s calling of the election in August, 2021.

In 2020, it went by the name C-8, but expired when Justin Trudeau chose to prorogue Parliament.

Like C-6, C-4 defines “Conversion Therapy” as counseling that seeks to change a person's sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to one that conforms to the “sex assigned at birth”.

Whereas its predecessor made it a criminal offense to force an adult to undergo therapy that does not affirm gender transition or homosexual orientation, Bill C-4 bans it for everyone.

It promotes gender transitioning for minors by preventing any therapy that doesn’t gladly affirm a lifetime of medical interventions that many transitioners come to regret!

Bill C-6 passed in the House of Commons by a vote of 263-63, and then passed first and second reading in the Senate before dying in the Senate.

On November 29 it was introduced as Bill C-4, and two days later the Conservatives brought forth a surprise motion to unanimously pass it directly to the Senate, bypassing any debate or committee review in Commons.

Even though over 60 CPC MPs voted against C-6 when it passed through Parliament last June, and nearly all of them were returned in September’s election, not one of these could find it in their hearts to speak out against this motion by their own party on Wednesday.

Official Opposition? Not so much. Democratic process? Whatever.

C-4 was introduced in the Senate on Dec. 2.

Final Senate Vote on C-4

On December 8, Bill C-4, the so-called “conversion therapy ban” bill, received Royal Assent in a matter of days, without debate, question, or a single objection from any Conservative MP or Senator.

It was a stunning and unprecedented event in Canadian politics. It was discouragingly passed by unanimous consent with the enthusiastic participation of Erin O'Toole's Conservatives in the House of Commons and the Senate.

Not a single Conservative had the courage to rise, say, “Nay!” and subject the grotesque medical malpractice and draconian government overreach inherent in Bill C-4 to the scrutiny it deserves.

How and why this happened is examined in this episode of ‘Counterpoint’, hosted by Tanya Granic Allen, in which PAFE president Teresa Pierre joins guests Mike Donison and Dr. Anne Gillies.

Donison, retired lawyer and former advisor to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, gives the legal and political perspective on the rapid passage of Bill C-4, calling it the result of a combination of political calculus and political cowardice.

Conservatives feared the negative press they would receive for standing up for parental and professional rights, so they expedited its passage through both Parliament and the Senate.

So much for the Official Opposition providing any actual opposition.

Dr. Anne Gillies, therapist, author, and founder of ‘Restoring the Mosaic’, observes that Canadians, including the Conservative MPs and Senators who allowed C-4 to pass undebated and unexamined, didn’t understand the legislation, or the issues that surround it.

They don’t fathom the fact that C-4’s invocation of “conversion therapy” is misplaced, referring to practices, like shock therapy, that have been illegal in Canada and have been against Canadian professional standards for decades.

Radical activists who influenced the writing of Bill C-4 deliberately misnamed the bill “conversion therapy”, a term that ought not sweep up gender transition therapy as as well.  As the bill was written it will capture very different types of therapeutic practices to help those dealing with gender confusion, sexual addiction, and unwanted same-sex attraction and prevent them from getting counselling that they desire.

Bill C-4 bans all therapy that isn’t “affirmation only”, even for adults, which is one way in which it is even more draconian than its predecessors, which only banned non-affirmation therapy for children.

Dr. Gillies warns that at a time when children are being heavily influenced socially and educationally to embrace things like transgenderism and same-sex attraction, C-4 will discourage therapists and counsellors, under threat of imprisonment, from helping the child to understand where these thoughts or confusions may be coming from.

She also points out that as other countries and jurisdictions, such as Sweden, the UK, and Finland, back away from “affirmation only” therapy, Canada has now made it the ONLY form of therapy that is legal, thanks to C-4.

As Dr. Gillies argues, pastors and religious leaders will now face legal repercussions for asserting creed-based beliefs about sexual morality and sexual orientation, and for offering counsel that acknowledges basic biological truths about men and women.

PAFE President Teresa Pierre shows how parents will be restrained by C-4 from seeking treatment for or even discussing gender transition with their gender dysphoric children.

“Affirmation only” will now be the sole therapy legally available in Canada for gender confusion and sexual orientation concerns, despite the fact that, in European jurisdictions, other types of therapy have proven themselves to be the gold standard, and health advocates there now stridently warn AGAINST sending children afflicted with gender dysphoria down the path of affirmation therapy.

The passage of C-4 makes it possible for children to be encouraged at school to pursue avenues of transgender or same-sex attraction exploration, and for the school to connect those children with affirmation counsellors, without their parents ever being informed.

Parents will be shut out of the equation, and any effort to encourage different counselling could result in a prison term of up to five years for the parents!

Since C-4 never explicitly defines what “conversion therapy” is, even a private conversation could be defined as a violation of the legislation, and subject to criminal prosecution.

Who Should Be Concerned About Bill C-4?

Simply, we should ALL be extremely concerned about this bill.

C-4 will ban any “practice, treatment or service” (s. 320.‍101) designed to help people manage their gender dysphoria or same-sex attraction with counselling. These practices include: psychotherapy, reparative therapy, group counselling, 12-step programs, religious counselling, preaching and prayer.

It is a threat to medical professionals, religious leaders, parents, children, LGBTQ individuals and organizations that assist people with living with gender dysphoria and unwanted same-sex attraction.

A parent who arranged for counselling for their child, as well as the doctors and counsellors who offered it, could be punished with a FIVE-YEAR prison term.

This means that parents have no other choice than to start their gender dysphoric children down a path toward puberty-blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender-transition surgery.

Religious leaders or counsellors that affirm traditional views of sexuality and gender may be sanctioned with a two-year prison term for “promoting or advertising” conversion therapy.

Advocates for Bill C-4 say it is necessary to prevent violence against LGBTQ individuals, but the Criminal Code already outlaws harassment, abuse, and assault.

In fact this bill would take away an LGBTQ individual’s right to choose appropriate health care and counselling for themselves.  Anyone who wanted to “desist” from a prior gender transition – and there are many – would be prevented from doing so.  The bill would mandate one type of “conversion” but not the reverse – it is truly a one-way street!

All this when up to 80% of children resolve feelings of gender dysphoria, according to the American Psychiatric Association. Detrans Canada told the House of Commons in their brief on C-6 that de-transitioners commonly reject their new gender identity when they find that their original mental health issues are not solved by transitioning.

Bill C-4 Launches Gender Dysphoric Children Down a Path of Medical Abuse

C-4 continues the “conversion therapy ban” bill tradition of instituting egregious overreach into the private lives of Canadians, while maintaining an apparently thorough ignorance of the troublingly explosive trend of transgender identification, particularly among young women.

This trend demands further investigation and discussion, not the outlawing and criminalization of that discussion that C-4 will bring, nor the banishment of the democratic process in rushing C-4 through the House.

The bill restricts any counselling for gender dysphoric individuals except that which affirms a person in their chosen gender. Any counsellor who proposes to explore underlying mental-health issues instead – known as watchful waiting – risks being accused of conversion therapy. According to the brief submitted to the House of Commons on Bill C-6 by Detrans Canada, the majority of people seeking to transition experience mental-health co-morbidities such as internalized homophobia, bullying, sexual violence, body dysmorphia, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, depression, autism, anxiety, and more.

Many will regret the loss of their fertility due to surgery or the puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. The latter have terrible side-effects including reduced bone density, and the reduction or elimination of sexual function. Transgender Trend recently posted a video showing the injurious effects of puberty blockers on Swedish children. One of the interviewees, Leo, complained that he hasn’t grown, has osteopenia and spinal fractures and is in constant pain.

Swedish child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Christopher Gillberg said in 2019 he thinks that offering unproven gender affirmation therapies may be "possibly one of the greatest scandals in medical history” (Doctors back inquiry on kids' trans care, The Australian, Sep 25, 2019).

High profile cases throughout the world are already demonstrating the tragic outcomes this will cause.

The National Post recently quoted a mother of a young Ontario woman who has lived through the horror of seeing her daughter transition with the aid of drugs and surgery, only later to change her mind and “de-transition”, on the dangers of over-correcting for perceived past injustices:

“For years and years, people have been homophobic, transphobic. We’re now trying to correct that, but by doing that we’re putting others at risk. And those others we’re putting at risk are children.”

The model of treatment for young people experiencing gender dysphoria promoted by legislation like Bill C-4 and Ontario’s Bill 17, has already resulted in tragic missteps.

Michelle Zacchigna was among the first in Ontario treated under that model, only to be subsequently diagnosed with autism, anxiety disorder, ADHD and depression AFTER she had medically transitioned.

Experiencing deep regrets, the 33-year-old has now de-transitioned, although she is unable to have children.

The Justin Trudeau Liberals, and now the Erin O’Toole Conservatives who just joined them in ditching democratic tradition to expedite C-4 through Parliament, pride themselves on being “progressive” and ahead of the curve on social issues, especially the issue of transgenderism.

In fact, they are lagging far behind.

Many European jurisdictions, who pioneered the “affirmation only” path when it came to treating gender dysphoria, are now putting the brakes on those policies.

They’re also asking pertinent questions regarding why so many young women have been prescribed powerful, puberty-blocking drugs that have altered their lives, often to their profound regret.

As Aaron Kimberly, a B.C.-based transgender man and registered nurse, observes in the same National Post article:

“Alarms are being sounded all over the world. And Canada seems completely deaf to it.”

Sweden has ended the prescription of hormones and puberty blockers for minors. Finland is encouraging that the front-line treatment for gender dysphoria should be psychotherapy, and Australia-New Zealand has said it is essential.

78% of Canadians DON"T WANT Gender Ideology

It's about time our political leaders started to think for themselves It's disgusting the way they have been hiding their heads in the sand for years at the expense of our children.

from the article
"Just two years ago, the Conservative Party of Canada voted unanimously in support of a Liberal bill pitched as a ban on “conversion therapy.” This was despite concerns that the legislation was so broad that it effectively criminalized the mere act of a therapist questioning a patient’s decision to adopt a new name and gender identity."

Like seriously I don't think even one member of the Conservatives had a clue what they were voting for. Like what the heck??? Maureen

A political transition on gender identity

After years of strenuously avoiding anything that carried a whiff of opposition to LGBT rights, Canadian politicians are now stampeding away from a policy of public schools unquestionably affirming the self-described gender identity of children without informing their parents.

In Canadian school boards from rural Alberta to the Toronto suburbs, the standing policy is that staff must immediately affirm the self-described gender identity of students. If a child expresses a desire to be known by a different name and pronouns — and to begin using bathrooms and other facilities in line with the new identity — teachers and staff are required to accommodate the transition and also withhold this information from parents upon request.

“Do not talk to anyone about (a student’s) identity, including parents/ caregivers, to whom they have not already disclosed their gender identity,” reads the official guidelines on “gender identity in schools” published by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

In a surprise move last June, New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs amended Policy 713 — a document governing gender expression in public schools — to require parental consent before a student could socially transition.

“Formal use of preferred first name for transgender or non-binary students under the age of 16 will require parental consent,” reads the amended policy.

Higgs faced a caucus revolt over the change but countered that he was prepared to call an election over the issue.

Last week, Saskatchewan also announced that parental consent would henceforth be required for a student under 16 to assume new pronouns or a new name (students over 16 can do it without parental consent).

“I’ve been asked what experts we consulted in creating the Parental Inclusion and Consent policy,” said Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe in a widely circulated Sunday social media post. He added, “I believe the leading experts in children’s upbringing are their parents.”

Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson announced plans earlier this month to amend the province’s Public Schools Act to broaden “parental rights” surrounding gender identity. “Parents want to know what’s going on in the day-to-day lives of their children,” Stefanson told reporters on Aug. 17.

And on Monday, Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce told a news conference that “parents must be fully involved” in circumstances when a child decides to go by different pronouns at school.

According to polls, Canadians are in favour of this new tack.

Even before Higgs went public with changes to Policy 713, a May Leger poll found that 57 per cent of Canadians favoured some form of parental notification in cases where a student was changing their gender identity. Only 18 per cent supported the status quo of concealing a student’s gender transition upon request.

The results of an Angus Reid Institute poll released Monday were even more decisive. Of the respondents, 78 percent said that schools should inform parents if students change their pronouns, and 43 percent said it shouldn’t be done without explicit parental consent. Only 14 percent agreed with the statement “Parents should neither be informed nor have a say — it’s up to the child.”

Progressive politicians and LGBT rights groups have been quick to call the proposed changes transphobic or even hateful. In a column for CTV, former NDP leader Thomas Mulcair said Higgs and Moe were “promoting discrimination and intolerance” in a cynical bid for votes.

Former Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne accused Lecce of using parental rights to “cover their trans and homophobia.”

In an op-ed for the National Post, Ontario trans woman Julia Malott struck a different tone: “This isn’t anti-trans, and isn’t necessarily anti-transition. It’s pro parent-child relationship.”

Although the pushback is coming exclusively from conservative governments, it’s a marked turnaround for a Canadian political establishment that has previously been intensely reluctant to oppose any issue framed as a new frontier in trans rights.

Just two years ago, the Conservative Party of Canada voted unanimously in support of a Liberal bill pitched as a ban on “conversion therapy.” This was despite concerns that the legislation was so broad that it effectively criminalized the mere act of a therapist questioning a patient’s decision to adopt a new name and gender identity.

In contrast to his recent statement on in-school gender transitions, Lecce has been much more guarded in his response to the saga of Kayla Lemieux, an Oakville, Ont., shop teacher who began showing up to class last September wearing oversized prosthetic breasts.

Lecce has repeatedly refused to intervene in the matter, beyond statements urging Lemieux’s school board to uphold higher “standards of professionalism.”

When I got home I took a Panoramic photo of our house.
It's distorted so I don't think I am doing it properly. I stand still when I do it and I'm thinking maybe I am supposed to move with the camera perhaps?

Tomorrow I think I will take panoramas of the beautiful Church Gardens
Hmm, I don't know why I didn't think of that before
