1. RECITE THE CANADA54 INTRODUCTORY PRAYER OF PETITION
Abba Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth,
We, your sons and daughters, are facing evils both visible and physical as well as invisible; the moral and spiritual
evils of our culture.
In varied ways, our nation has turned away from You, and we are reaping a harvest of woes from the seeds we have
planted with our own hands. We are no longer glorious and free. We have allowed a bushel basket to be placed
over the Light of Christ, who is truth, beauty, and goodness, and we are enslaved by a multitude of sins and vices.
At this hour, in the year 2020, we turn our eyes to Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, your Only-Begotten Son. Through
the daily prayer of the Rosary, and by virtue of our nation having been consecrated to her Immaculate Heart in
1947, we, the Church, reclaim Canada for the Blessed Virgin Mary; Our Lady of the Cape. Queen of the Most Holy
Rosary, Queen of Canada.
As in the past, may she turn her eyes to us once again and bring us back to You, the One True God that You may
forgive our sins and heal our land.
O Glorious St. Joseph, Pillar of Families, Hope of the Sick, Terror of demons, Protector of the Church, Patron of
Canada, pray for us. Amen
2. RECITE THE NOVENA TO ST. LOUIS DE MONTFORT - April 28th to May 6th
St. Louis de Montfort, who during your life on earth taught Christians how to have true devotion to Mary, and had
a zeal for becoming a Canadian missionary; pray for us. May God make us apostles of the last days, to find refuge
in the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and to courageously witness to Christ and His Glorious Cross. Amen.
2. NOVENA TO ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA - May 7th to May 15th
Saint Kateri, Lily of the Mohawks, who during your life on earth welcomed the Holy Catholic Faith with devotion
and fervor, overcoming physical limitations, brought about by the small pox epidemic; pray for us. May God heal us
of the Coronavirus. May He also bring renewal to our first Nations people, providing much needed reconciliation
and healing. Amen
2. NOVENA TO BLESSED MARIE LEONIE PARADIS - May 16th to May 24th
Blessed Marie Leonie, who during your life on earth inspired many women to spend their lives in the care for
Priests in Canada, modelling great humility and service; pray for us. May God send forth a new outpouring of
His Holy Spirit upon the priests serving in Canada today. May they, by your Grace, transcend present scandals
and discouragement in order to proclaim Your Word and administer the Holy Sacraments with faithfulness and
heavenly power. Amen

Grant us health of body and purity of soul; increase our faith and love so that we may know your divine Son better

Abba Father, We, your sons and daughters, rejoice in your Mercy and Love; echoing the song of Mary, Our
Queen. We, the people of this generation, call her Blessed. For, you continue to do great things through her, and
Holy is Your Name.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for giving to us Our Lady of the Cape as a refuge for all Canadians.
We are experiencing her protection from the present storms of our day. For this we praise and thank you. With
eagerness we await the triumph of Her Immaculate Heart in our Land.
St. Joseph, humble and chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin, your prayers are powerful, and you inspire us toward
holiness. Thank you for reflecting the Father’s Heart to us. Amen
2. NOVENA TO BLESSED FREDERIC JANSSOONE - May 25th to June 2nd
Blessed Frederick Janssoone, who during your life on earth persuaded Canadians in their devotion to Mary,
Our Lady of the Cape, and stirred up expectant faith in their hearts; pray for us. May God enkindle once again,
steadfast confidence in the intercessory power of the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, to bring about the triumph
of her Immaculate Heart in our land. Amen.
2. NOVENA TO ST. MARIE DE L’INCARNATION AND ST. FRANCOIS DE LAVAL - June 3rd to June 11th
St. Francois de Laval and St. Marie de l’Incarnation, who during your lives on earth served faithfully the Catholic
church as she developed within New France, providing education in the Faith and care for the sick and the poor;
pray for us. May God unite under a single purpose, the efforts of all clergy, religious communities and laity; that
division, misunderstanding and apathy will not dilute the lived Gospel. Amen.

Holy Canadian Martyrs, who, during your lives on earth, boldly and with heroic perseverance, proclaimed the
Saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, even to the shedding of your blood; pray for us. May God inflame our hearts with
energetic commitment to the new evangelization, so that the Holy Catholic Church in Canada may awaken from
slumber, and fulfill her mission with signs and wonders. Amen.
