Weekend of Police Brutality in Ottawa directed towards peaceful protestors and the Independent Press

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23RdwjBsiew&t=1618s

Thanks for this Candice

Below are a few excerpts from the video depicting the disgusting level of police brutality in Ottawa over the weekend. I am trying to transcribe the portion of the video that depicts the disgusting and violent actions of the Ottawa Police which incidentally was ignored by our mainstream media

It begins at 9:50

Justin Trudeau is going after journalists. What is happening in Canada? Great question. What is happening in Canada? Well, what is happening in Canada? It's a Great question. Well, over the weekend, what did we see? We saw a militarized police zone using undue force using over-the-top force and completely disproportionate force against a group of unarmed and peaceful protesters just by very virtue of them being in Ottawa meant that they were the target of the police and the Trudeau government efforts.

And unsurprisingly, It devolved into a very chaotic, very dangerous situation, so I'll show you some of the low lights from the weekend of police brutality. And let me just make this point. If this was happening at any other circumstance in recent history. If this is happening at any other point in the last two years against any other group, if this was not a group of working-class truckers, of people who said we've had enough of this government overreach of this medical tyranny that we've been living under. It was any other group and you saw images like this of the police, the left would be on the complete other side. There would be over the top calls for these cops to be fired, to be reprimanded, defund the police, any small act of police using force, not even disproportionate force, just police using force in their job over the past two years has been completely blown out of proportion as an instance of police brutality and why we ought to defund the police, OK?

I see people who spent the last two years yelling about that issue are now either completely silent or they're cheering on the police brutality because they are cracking down on a group of conservative adjacent or conservative align protesters. People who come from a working-class background. It is so stark. It is so hypocritical. It is unbelievable.

Regardless, here are a couple instances of what it looked like. So first we have a veteran who is manhandled by police officers: knee him several times in the kidney. Here's what that looked like.

Next, we have a protester who is hauled away by cops. Watch for the end of the clip because a police officer takes his rifle, takes his gun, and uses it to beat a protester with the stock of his gun and you can see him do two solid blows there with a stock of his gun. This is police brutality. This is totally unacceptable. Here is what that looked like.

Next, here is a police officer rushing a protestor and hitting him once he's already on the ground.

And so, as the police were using increasingly violent tactics in order to crack down on these peaceful protesters, they at some point decided to bring in horses for what? To do some kind of crowd control? I don't even understand. This is right outside the Chateau Laurier hotel and upscale hotel, right in the heart of Parliament, right in the center of Ottawa. They Bring out the police and as you can see in the kerfuffle in the excitement of police going through a crowd trampled 2 individuals and knocked them over, stepped on one of the one of the women, including an 80 year old First Nations woman.. This is tough to watch, but here is what this looks like.

Just in case you want to see how bad it was Here Is the aerial view and still you can see the horses trampling on two individuals who just failed to get out of the way, you could see from the footage there that it wasn't like people knew that these horses were coming. They kind of came out of nowhere. They whipped around the corner These two individuals clearly didn't see what was going on. The woman who was knocked over the 80 or woman was on a mobility scooter and from the aerial picture you can see the scooter on the ground. So its not like this is an agile woman who could easily get out of the way. She obviously had no idea this was coming, and I don't know what was worse the fact that this was the way the police were behaving and acting or the fact that there were a lot of people cheering them on cheering this kind of thing on and that the media didn't really bat an eye, didn't really bat an eye over the use if anything they were out there saying, oh, this isn't trampling. These people weren't trampling.

And we had something new that I've never seen before. The Ottawa police were tweeting in real time pushing out their own propaganda their own version of events. So they weren't really taking questions. They weren't really responding.

Journalists at one point I was on the phone trying to confirm whether or not anyone had been killed in the protests. No response, no replies. I left messages. I called multiple lines. I emailed. I sent the messages on Twitter. No response. Whatsoever, the only response you get from the Ottawa police.is they're tweeting their own timeline of events in their own perspective, twisting and spinning the facts to fit their narrative of what was going on.

So here is an example of that, Ottawa police wrote. We hear your concern for people on the ground after the horses dispersed the crowd, anyone who fell got up and walked away. We're unaware of any injuries. A bicycle was thrown at a horse further down the line and caused the horse trip. The horse was uninjured. OK, so a lot of people on Twitter were really upset about this because the idea that everyone who was hurt got up and walked away. Well, it just simply isn't true. Here is a woman who was trampled. Her name is Candy, and she wrote this

I care to correct the "no injury" statement at of the Ottawa Police I was nearly killed. Again. 80 year Old First Nations woman. Usually this would be the kind of woman that the left would hold up as a victim of police brutality and they would be on her side and they would be there demanding resignation of the officers of whoever ordered that the police chief of the local politicians, but instead, because of the backdrop of this freedom convoy. Nothing. Nothing. No. No, you don't hear anything from the left in support of this woman.

It is absolutely wild and his whole nonsense about a bicycle being thrown at the horse again. I tried to verify that I looked at a lot of footage over the weekend. A lot of people were saying that the bicycle was actually. the mobility scooter. So we go back to that aerial photo. You can see how the horse knocked over the woman with the air with the mobility scooter. And that is lying on the ground. So people were like, is that where you're talking about throwing a bicycle is actually just a mobility scooter. All someone did send me footage of a man with a bicycle but he had no in no way. In no way did he throw this at the police. He he used a bicycle to pull himself back, if anything, to stop the police from beating him. He kind of had the bike in front of him. And then you could see him leave. So this whole idea that he threw at a horse and was causing the horse to trip. Is is just completely, completely untrue.

OK, there is more. so, here is the police hauling away a protester and kneeing him once he's on the ground so here, that's what that looked like.

And so it wasn't just this kind of force in kneeing people and hitting people with guns that we saw. We also saw the police start using pepper spray or some kind of a chemical irritant. And you can see it in this clip, the Ottawa police are just sort of wildly spraying the pepper spray, it's not targeted at any individual. It's not an individual in a crowd who is ruckus and who is causing chaos and you want to target that one individual. Presumably that is what pepper spray is for. No, in this case, you're just sort of willy nilly just spraying the crowd, getting anybody who's there sort of punishing them for being there. Here's what that looked like.

So caught up in all of this chaos was our own, Andrew Lawton, journalist Andrew Lawton was on the ground for True North throughout the entire weekend. He was doing live streams. He was reporting he was talking to people He was trying to keep an eye on what was happening in the same way as many journalists. There was lots and lots of journalists from lots of outlets who were right there, sort of on the front lines or a few steps back from the front lines filming this whole thing, taking pictures, relaying the information to Canadians and to people all over the world because people all over the world were watching, so Andrew Lawton was in there he was doing that and for the crime of committing journalism, Andrew Lawton was pepper-sprayed in the face by a cop. It seemed to be targeted. It seemed to be aimed directly at him. So here is what Andrew looked like afterwards. Not a pleasant feeling to be sprayed in the face pretty much point blank, or at least at close range with pepper spray.

He got it really bad and because of that we, here at True North we decided to retain a lawyer. So we hired a lawyer we're now working with a lawyer here at True North. We are suing the police for assault and for targeting a working journalist. Andrew was just there doing his job trying to cover this event, trying to relay the information to Canadians. So we want to send a message to the police and Justin Trudeau and his emergency order. You don't get to beat up on journalists in this country. This is Canada. You do not get to do that and we will see you in court.

Unfortunately, Andrew Lawton was not the only journalist to be the victim of police brutality. Over the weekend. Alexa Levar over at the Rebel was beat up by a police officer. This is unbelievable footage. She was pushed, she was hit multiple times with the baton from a large male police officers online. She's sprayed with pepper spray and finally she was shot in the leg at point blank from a few feet away with some kind of a rubber bullet or a tear gas canister. This woman was brutalized and beat up by a cop, all caught on camera. Here is what that looked like and just to warn you, this is pretty gruesome. It is pretty hard to watch, but I think it's important to show you what was happening to a working journalist in our country over the weekend. Here's that clip.

So with a journalist sprayed in the face with pepper spray, another one brutalized and hit with a baton multiple times, you would think that the mainstream media, the legacy media there would be some kind of solidarity with journalists in this country that you would hear from legacy media saying, hey, that kind of force against journalists is absolutely not acceptable in this country. So did we hear that? No, no, we didn't hear that. What did we hear instead? Well, the journalist thought it was disgusting. Not not. It wasn't disgusting that Andrew Lawton was sprayed with pepper spray. It wasn't disgusting that Alexa Levar was beaten with a baton.

What was disgusting? Well, there was this clip that was circulating of a Quebec TV journalist who got pushed on air by a protester. Here's what that looked like.

Incredibly stupid stuff. OK. Whoever pushes whoever pushed a journalist on air is just completely stupid. There's no reason to do this. It is mean. It is stupid. It doesn't help anyone. If anything, all it does is galvanizes people. against you, it proves legacy media point correct that the protesters are just a violent group of thugs and that they're here to harass, intimidate the media and the legacy media did exactly what you would expect and milk every last ounce of that clip that that footage of one guy getting pushed, that is the big story for the journalist out of the news.

Forget about all the police brutality that I just showed you. Forget about a guy getting hit with a stock of a gun. Forget about a woman getting trampled by a horse. Forget about a young female journalist getting beat up with a police baton. They didn't cover any of that. They don't care about any of that. What do they care about? A push? The guy getting shoved on air. That is the main focus. So here's Glenn McGregor saying. Disgusting.

Every news crew has been harassed repeatedly trying to work. This is the first actual odd camera salt journalist I've seen. First on camera. So what about the on camera assault of Alexa? What about the on camera assault of Alexa? Levar did. Did he not? Did he not see that or or he just doesn't count her as a human Being as person and as journalists because he doesn't like the outlet that she works for. Well, journalists, again, they milked this, they jumped on it and. And again, this was a big story. So there's a Canadian Press story that ran in pretty much all of legacy media outlets. Journalism experts say threats to press during protest, a wake up call. So experts and advocates say the treatment of journalists captured in many cases on video during recent protests against public health measures should be a wake up call. What I've seen over the past two days has been absolutely sickening. It's absolutely sickening, absolutely sickening, said Brent Julie, president of the Canadian Association of Journalists, in an interview.

This is what happens when you have brains scrambled by misinformation, younger bipac female reporters, which just means black, indigenous or people of color. So younger, nonwhite, female reporters. Experience significantly more vitriol than their white male journalists counterparts do, according to some experts at Carleton University.

As an odd point to make because the journalists who has been probably one of the most present journalists on the ground in Ottawa in talking to the protesters and trying to understand this protesters, not even a Canadian woman from India originally had been living in Canada. Rupa. Superman. I had her as a guest of my podcast a few weeks ago. She's a freelance writer and a columnist over at the National Post. She wrote this, huh? Basically, I fit that description. I am a young non white female. The only unpleasant experience I had at the protest was from a mask at Karen who really accosted me, invading my personal space. So she completely dispels this whole idea that that young women are getting harassed, that female journalists can't do their job. It's it's just not true.

But again, they use that one clip of the idiot of the stupid idiot who pushes a journalist on camera. Whoever that guy is, if you know him, tell him to give his head a shake. Tell him to not go anywhere near a freedom convoy protest ever again because he is just completely unhelpful. Stupid mean and there's no there's no excuse for that. It is idiotic. I completely condemn him. I'm just waiting for the legacy media to go ahead and condemn the police for beating up and brutalizing journalists who aren't part of legacy media.

Regardless, this whole narrative is what has come out of the protest. So our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Jolie, jumped in on that. She said I am appalled. See Canadian journalists assaulted, harassed, intimidated, and prevented from doing their jobs. It's unacceptable. Journalists are critical to our democracy and must be free and safe to do their work.

So again, this is all propaganda. It's all aimed at the idea that the truckers are evil, that the truckers are nefarious. They are a threat to our democracy and that the journalists are the real heroes, right? You know what I'm unaware of a single case of a legacy media journalist who's actually prevented from doing their job. OK, were they heckled? Where they where they cheered? Was there some cheering? Was there some booing while they were trying to do the reports? Yes, mostly because the legacy media was spreading misinformation and lying about the truckers from day one.

Were they prevented from doing their jobs. No, they were not. You know who was prevented from doing their jobs at times was members of the Independent Press. Members who aren't part of the government club who don't have government ID, who are not even allowed into the police, militarized occupied zone because they didn't have government IDs. So. So this whole idea that they were harassed, assaulted, intimidated,

OK, the ones that were assaulted were independent journalists, the ones who were performing their job were independent journalists. And it was cops that were preventing them from doing that, so again, just all totally spin, I'll make this point again on the podcast. I made it on Twitter. I said this has a single member of the legacy media, tweeted a message of support or solidarity to journalists like Andrew Lawton or like Silver, who were assaulted or brutalized and brutalized by police? Anyway. No, of course not. They would rather pretend that we don't exist. They would rather pretend that we were doing something wrong, that we deserved it somehow, that we shouldn't have been there

It's funny how people like Evan Solomon of CTV were there on the ground the entire time and he was applauded and heralded as a hero for being there and covering it at the same time, Andrew Lawton, Alexa, Lavoie the Rebel journalists were there, and people are like, oh, what were you even doing in there? The police told everyone to leave. The police said no media. You got what you deserved

It's like again just it's saying the double standards. Insane with the propaganda? Well, the propaganda continues.

listen to the video for the rest of the insanity from the legacy Media and our tyranical Prime Minister

Run With Life: Because of Justin Trudeau Canada has lost its way

Run With Life: Because of Justin Trudeau Canada has lost its wayGod bless Rex Murphy and Jordan Peterson. They are the two best Canadian leaders we never had. Their discussion below is a mind-blowingly accurate assessment of Canada's very sorry current state of affairs.

And God bless the truckers too who stood up to Trudeau's tyranny.

Then there's NDP leader Jagmeet Singh. I've never understood how Justin Trudeau manages to stay in power. And now SIngh is an even a bigger mystery. The man is clearly Trudeau's lap-dog. So what is in it for Singh? Maybe some kind of narcissistic ego boost?

Now Singh has confirmed that there really are two solitudes in Canada, and only one of them should have the emergency act used against them. And that would be the truckers:

"Indigenous land defenders, climate change activists, workers fighting for fairness. And any Canadian using their voice to peacefully demand justice – should never be subject to the Emergencies Act".

Thank you for sharing your support with me. I appreciate the opportunity to hear your concerns.

Thousands of Canadians traveled to our nation’s capital and to our home to be heard by their government. Canadians have endured nearly three years of decisions that were too little, too late.

I have met many law-abiding, peace-loving Canadians who have chosen freedom over fear. I will not stand idle as Trudeau and the media slanders salt-of-the-earth, give-you-the-shirt-off-their-backs Canadians.

I also encourage you to read my open letter to Prime Minister Trudeau, https://www.facebook.com/PierrePoilievreMP/posts/490265229128001, and my recent speech against invoking the Emergencies Act, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8NkdVZ3-NM

I along with thousands of Canadians are choosing freedom over fear.

Vote in Parliament on the Emergencies Act - Well we know ho it played out - Lord have mercy!

 https://catholicinsight.com/vote-in-parliament-tonight-on-emergencies-act/

VOTE IN PARLIAMENT TONIGHT ON EMERGENCIES ACT

The Canadian Parliament is closing up debate on this issue, and will vote tonight (Monday) at 8 p.m. on the Emergencies Act, for which there seems no need, and never was a need. Thousands of police officers to ‘break up’ and ‘illegal’ protest – perhaps the most peaceful in modern history, besides the March for Life. And one that was facilitated by police in the first place, as the truckers parked their rigs on Wellington and other streets for weeks. If all this was inherently illegal, why wasn’t it nipped in the bud? Did perhaps Trudeau need a ruse, as an excuse to impose martial law?

The Senate will still have to vote, if this does pass, but I can’t remember the last time they went against the will of the Liberals.

If there are any truly illegal actions by protestors in the near future, they can be dealt with by our civil laws, which are broad and robust enough – too much so, in this writer’s opinion – to deal with transgressions and threats, outside of open war, for which this measure was originally intended. Is Trudeau at war? And with whom? The people of Canada?

To put this all in perspective, look over the pond to Britain, which is set to end all Covid restrictions – yes, all of them, leaving it up to individual’s to exercise discretion and prudence, as we have done for endemic illnesses from time immemorial. Imagine that.

Trudeau, in poker terms, is on tilt, for reasons known only to him, and we need an end to what is becoming an unhinged situation, mocked and criticized across the world. The tide is turning, we may hope, back to normalcy and sanity.

So please do pray that that tide of basic common sense washes over and into the hearts and minds of our parliamentarians, including that intention in your prayers tonight, not least in all your family rosaries. The simple, humble and guileless petitions of children are powerful indeed in the sight of God!

Dystopias and Warping Truth from Catholic Insight

 https://catholicinsight.com/dystopias-and-warping-truth/

Future dystopias – which now have to be written the present tense – almost invariably involve governmental control and manipulation of the people’s thoughts and consequent behaviour, with a false and deliberately manipulative view of reality foisted upon the citizenry, usually by technological means to which the people are addicted. (Ironically, and providentially, I’m publishing this as the police crack down on the Freedom Convoy, with a media blackout in the area)

The paradigmatic is Orwell’s 1984, (published in 1949 in the wake of the collapsed Nazi regime) with Big Brother both watching every move we make and every breath we take, as well as shaping and controlling our thoughts by declaring obvious falsehoods from which none dare demur. Two plus two is five, and the past is what we say it be.

Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 (1953) has the people of 1999 (which seemed far off in the fifties!) mesmerized by giant, wall-sized television screens, filled with inane entertainment – clowns and circuses – with interludes of ‘news’, shaped to form the opinions the government desires.

Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World (1932), the people of 2540 (at this point, I’m not sure we’ll reach mid-century) addicted to the soporific soma, accepting whatever Mustafa Ford tells them. Unlike the hapless citizens of 1984, they were more lulled into obeisance than forced.

Before all of these, there was E.M. Forester’s The Machine Stops (first published in 1909, no future date given for the story, but we’re all more or less in it) which eerily predicts a giant information/entertainment ‘machine’ to which everyone in the underground city is connected, and which gives them everything they need, from music, to food, to news. They have forgotten there is a world ‘up there’, for the machine does everything for them. But what happens when the machine no longer works?

These are all meditations on a theme of Plato’s original allegory of The Cave, from chapter VII of his Republic (written circa 400 B.C.). In a metaphorical underground cavern, people watch shadows of images, thinking they are real. When the philosopher tries to convince them that there is a beautiful, glorious world outside, the sun shining, the water sparkling, the rocks, grass and hills…Well, you may guess what they do to him, deemed a liar and dreamer, contradicting their ‘narrative’, as they return to their shadowy idols dancing on a stage.

Every one of these dystopias, from Plato to Bradbury, were written well before the internet, full-immersion media which has made mass psychosis a very distinct and all-too-real possibility. Peruse this interview with Robert Epstein on how we are all being manipulated by Google and friends, and how easy it is. Dr. Epstein is quirky and liberal, but dedicated and courageous. The first twenty minutes give you most of what you need to know, which is to get gone from Google, for they are indeed not only watching us, but manipulating us in very subtle ways.

An article in Wired commented that two of the recent SuperBowl ads advocated the new Meta virtual reality and their idiotic headsets as a way to escape the hell we’re building here. Yet,  a contrary one, with all-American Matthew McConaghey urged us to fix our problems right here on planet Earth.

It’s in reality that we must remain grounded if we’re to see our way through the deceit and mayhem that is on the horizon. Saint Thomas defines truth as the adequatio rei et intellectus, the ‘conformity of the mind to reality’, God’s good, holy cosmos and all the living and non-living beings therein.

Satan hates all of this. Christ quite aptly describes him as a liar and murderer, the two evils not unrelated. The unborn child is declared a non-person, a lie repeated enough, and, eventually, their lives can be snuffed out. The Jews in Germany were deemed by physicians and Goebell’s propaganda machine as disease-ridden and untermensch. In the Rwandan massacre, Hutus were urged on by the media to massacre and rape their ‘inhuman’ Tutsi neighbours by the tens of thousands; many claiming they did so because the ‘radio told them to’.

Whither now, dear reader, as the rhetoric ramps up? Will peace and good will prevail?

One way to ensure they do, to some extent, in some locales, refuges, remnants, or at least in some hearts, is to immerse yourself in the truth, not least those of our Faith, in Scripture, the Catechism, the Fathers, the Summa, in a myriad of great and good books. As well, spend far more time in reality than in the virtual version on screens. In nature, friendships, music, home-cooked food, laughter, love – hug someone, and let’s see some friends shaking hands.

Lies enslave, while the truth sets us free. By living in the really real, we can, by the grace of God, quite easily tell the difference.

'The Five' rip Trudeau for freezing bank accounts of Freedom Convoy truc...

LOVE & FREEDOM SHOW! [02/16/22]

Canadians – regardless of vaccination status – need to stand up for their rights in the face of regimes forcing the disclosure of private medical data - Privacy is a prerequisite to Freedom

On Sunday morning after my sister Barbara and I attended mass at Saint Augustine in Ottawa, we drove to meet Paula for breakfast at a restaurant on Merivale Road. When we arrived at the restaurant, Paula was already settled in with a coffee waiting for us.  I was refused entry even though I had proof of three doses of the Pfizer Vaccine. I felt very uncomfortable as I realized I couldn't go in.  In fact,  I started to panic which is not unusual because I have been doing a lot of that lately.

Anyways when we went back to Paula's apartment, I told our sister Pat who is spending time in Victoria with her husband Fred and almost immediately Pat wrote this letter to Doug Ford and cc'd the information to the commissioner of Ontario, Minister of health and her chief of staff, Doug's chief of staff, the Attorney General and his chief of staff.

Thanks, Pat for doing this

Here is the text of Pat's letter

Sunday February 20 2022

Dear Doug Ford,

Today someone close to me was refused entry into a restaurant because she didn't have the QR code for the vaccine. She has been triple vaccinated and had proof of that. But this was not enough for the restaurant. The restaurant told her she could not come in without this QR code.

I understand why the restaurant insisted, because to my horror, I just discovered that restaurants are now required to ask for a QR code.

This is a gross abuse of power. A QR code means that the government now has personal information about anyone who goes into a restaurant, or any other facility where this is required. I was absolutely stunned at this invasion of privacy for Ontario residents. Especially since proof of vaccines without a QR code worked well before this draconian change was implemented.

I really need to have an explanation that makes sense to me about this, but I can think of none.

Can you please provide me with an explanation about this gross invasion of privacy to Ontario residents? I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Patricia Maloney

Former privacy commissioner Ann Cavoukian on vaccine passports and erosion of privacy

Rumble — As provinces continue to double down on vaccine passports, former Ontario Privacy Commissioner Ann Cavoukian says it's clear that governments post the greatest threat to privacy, which she says is a prerequisite to freedom.

In this episode of The Andrew Lawton Show, Dr. Ann Cavoukian says Canadians – regardless of vaccination status – need to stand up for their rights in the face of regimes forcing the disclosure of private medical data to engage in civil society.

Run With Life: Letter from a Canadian to her Prime Minister

Letter from a Canadian to her Prime Minister

Dear Justin Trudeau,

I know you will never read this email. Or respond to it. Because you ignore people like me who write to you. Maybe if we agreed with you, you might respond. I have no idea. You've ignored every single letter I have ever written to you.

I am really really tired of how you treat some Canadians. Those who you don't agree with.

I am a Canadian. I pay your salary. As do all the other Canadians you don't respect enough to respond to. Like the truckers. Like pro-life people. Maybe there are other Canadians you don't respect too.

We are not second class citizens. We are real people. With families. With real problems. With rights.

You say you support the rights of people. But from where I'm sitting, I don't see that. It looks like you do what you want. When you want. When it suits your purpose.

You could have just talked to the truckers. They just wanted some face time with their prime minister. These are hard working Canadians. They are not violent. You are their prime minister too you know. You talked to the BLM people. You even "took a knee" with them. (I only kneel to God). Do you see the double standard here?

Mr. Trudeau, why don't you respect people you don't agree with? I really really do not understand this.

All that said, I do pray for you. I pray for you every day. I have hope that you can change. You can if you want to. It just takes a little effort. People change all the time.

Sincerely,
Patricia Maloney
