Here is the communication I received.

It’s opening weekend for the pro-life blockbuster of the summer.
Unplanned hits theatres across Canada starting tomorrow, Friday July 12th, and you don’t want to miss it.

The film tells the story of Abby Johnson’s journey from her life working inside the abortion industry to becoming one of the most prominent and committed voices of the pro-life movement today. Her remarkable transformation goes back to one singular moment at an abortuary – and what she saw, changed everything.

Plan a pro-life movie night

To stay “this is the movie the abortion industry doesn’t want you to see” isn’t a sales pitch. In the past week, Katie Telford, Justin Trudeau’s chief of staff, took to social media to vent her outrage that Unplanned was going to be played in Canada. Can you believe it? That's why it's so important that we flood theatres for the opening weekend, Friday July 12th.

The best way to show the Prime Minister’s office, and their buddies in the abortion industry, that there really is an audience for pro-life movies here in Canada, is to make plans to see Unplanned this weekend.

Thanks and God bless.

PS - It is SO important to bring as many people with you to see this movie as you can, and be sure to check out the
Unplanned website for updates on new theatre locations.

Our Lady of Ottawa Pray for Us

Ad Jesum Per Mariam

Canada needs Our Lady more than ever before.
Even though these poems to our lady were composed
they are still very relevant: maybe even more so.
Today, the Christian values on which Canada was founded
are under attack like never before.

We stretch our arms to you Dear Mother.
you are our Hope our Refuge and our Strength .
Only by you will come justice and Peace.
Mary, hear our pleading and come to our aid. Amen

Our Lady of Ottawa
composed by Henry J. Cromey, O.M.I.
for the 1947 Marian Congress

Lady of Lourdes and La Salette,
Fatima's Hope be with us yet.
Ours are the tears that Wars beget:
Lady of Ottawa, hear us!

Hushed now the conflict's mockeries;
Here is a nation on its knees.
Queen of the Ros'ry, heed our pleas:
Lady of Ottawa, help us!

Rescue all lands from tyrants' thrall;
Freedom and Peace for great and small;
Jesus the Saviour-King of all!
Lady of Ottawa, help us!

Notre-Dame d' Ottawa
composed by Soeur Paul-Emile, S.G.C.
for the 1947 Marian

Le foyer de chez-nous te contemple et te prie;

Growing Violence against Pro Lifers

https://www.hli.org/2019/05/violence-against-pro-lifers/

Pro-Life Assault -by HLI

I am troubled by what appears to be a growing trend of violent attacks on peaceful pro-life activists.  Perhaps the most famous recent instance was caught in a dramatic video last fall. The video shows a twenty-something-year-old man wearing a purple sweater, with a pentagram (a pagan symbol) on a necklace around his neck. He asks the pro-life woman behind the camera what should happen if a 16-year-old gets pregnant by rape. From his tone, it is clear that he doesn’t really want an answer. Still, the woman begins to explain that the child is still a child, and should not be murdered, regardless of how the baby is conceived. Before she can finish, however, the young man sticks out his tongue, winds up, and kicks her. The camera falls and clatters on the ground. click here for the rest of Fr. Boquet's article

Canada’s Maxime Bernier on abortion: “This issue is not settled” - NRL News Today

Canada’s Maxime Bernier on abortion: “This issue is not settled” - NRL News Today:

Maxime Bernier, leader of the upstart People’s Party of Canada, has issued some strong statements in support of advancing abortion regulations in Canada. In a series of tweets, Maxime Bernier responded to a report in La Presse newspaper that the Ministry of Health in Quebec was looking into ensuring late-term abortion services were provided within the province instead of sending women to United States “specialty clinics.”Please send a note of thanks to Mr. Bernier for his clear stance and suggest that he take an even stronger position by promising to initiate an abortion bill himself if he is elected this fall! You can call his office at 613-992-8053 or email him at maxime.bernier@parl.gc.ca.Bernier is the latest high-profile politician in the past few weeks to outline their perspectives on the legality of abortion.Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has never missed an opportunity to reiterate his pro-abortion stance, initiated much of the current national conversation with a fundraising letter in response to the participation of a dozen Conservative MPs in the National March for Life in Ottawa.Speaking of those Conservative MPs, we thank them as well for publicly taking a stand in support of pre-born human rights! Their courage is not without opposition – both from within and outside of their political party. And let’s not forget the three MPPs who spoke at the March for Life in Toronto! They incurred the wrath of abortion fanatics, with two having their offices targeted by protestors. We encourage you to send Christina Mitas, Willem Bouma, and Sam Oosterhoff a note of encouragement to stand strong for the pro-life cause.
The abortion debate continues, further than ever from being a closed issue!

Persecution of Christians in Canada

It seems every time you turn around you hear another story of how Christian Canadians are persecuted for their beliefs
from David Cooke below Pastor David Lynn was arrested by Toronto Police on June 4th, 2019, after he was mobbed and assaulted by a large group of LGBT supporters. He was accused of deriding gays and preaching hatred, but his only "crime" was peacefully sharing the love of God on a public sidewalk.

I interviewed Pastor David to find out what really happened and to discuss the implications of his arrest for the entire Christian community. This video shows Pastor David's heart, tells his story, and unmasks the injustice that took place when he was wrongfully arrested.

After you watch this interview, please share it with others. Also, be sure to sign our petition of support for Pastor David: https://www.citizengo.org/en-ca/pr/171367-christian-mobbed-assaulted-and-arrested-toronto

Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

https://www.ewtn.com/Devotionals/heart/sh_novena.htm

Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I. O my Jesus, you have said: "Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you." Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of...... (here name your request)
Our Father....Hail Mary....Glory Be to the Father....Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

II. O my Jesus, you have said: "Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of.......(here name your request) Our Father...Hail Mary....Glory Be To the Father....Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

III. O my Jesus, you have said: "Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away." Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of.....(here name your request) Our Father....Hail Mary....Glory Be to the Father...Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours.
Say the Hail, Holy Queen and add: St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

-- St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

Padre Pio recited this novena every day for all those who requested his prayers.

Persecution of Catholics in Canada.

This is further to my thoughts on violence directed at Pro Lifers that I posted a few days ago. Because I am a Catholic I am presenting this from the Catholic perspective although I believe the majority of Christians and other People of Faith share this view.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: "Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law" (No. 2271). click here

As Catholics we are called To participate in the Church's mission of Evangelization of Souls
click here so it follows that Catholics are called to proclaim the Gospel of Life. I have come to realize over the past few years that here in Canada it is perfectly acceptable to persecute us for our beliefs because they are contrary to what our Our Prime Minister views as Canadian Values. Abortion on demand has become a "Canadian Value" . Lord have Mercy!

Pat and Maureen's Visit to Laurier Manor Yesterday

Yesterday morning Pat  helped a resident who wanted a pair of hands to pull some wires through some areas in his electric wheel chair. He is adding some lights, a rear view camera, and even hopes to attach a solar panel to charge his battery. Pat had volunteered to help him last week, and he was in the lobby waiting for her when we arrived.

They  managed to get a few things completed and he was very grateful for Pat's help. Pat even got to ride his wheel chair back to his floor.

They were doing this "engineering" on the main floor near the exit door to the garden behind the Residence. Since I passed by these two eager beavers on my way out to the garden with a female resident I took a few pictures

The weather was beautiful and we had a nice walk and she picked a few tiny flowers along the way. It was really cute. She brought them back to her room and put them in a plastic glass with a bit of water  I should have taken pictures of the beautiful garden and the tiny bouquet too. Oh well.

Later on
