Corpus Christi Procession - June 19 2022 - Saint George Parish Ottawa ON



On Sunday, June 19, Saint George Parish in Ottawa celebrated

Corpus Christi, the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

  • 9am: Mass with Archbishop Terrence Prendergast

  • 10am Procession and singing! with members of St G, St. Albertus and Annunciaion of the Bl. Virgin Mary parishes

  • 11am: Potluck lunch with finger foods in St. G parish hall

All were invited to attend this special celebration for Corpus Christi

-- a liturgical highpoint before the summer.

There was a pot luck dinner after the programme

As a side note to this, about 11 years ago two dear friends of mine , 
Diane Naipaul and Gemma O'Sullivan organized a special mass with
 prayers for the Healing of the Nation of Canada click here  ( Diane's website) 
which was held at Saint George Parish. 
I'm thinking that  Canada as a Nation is so in need of healing, now more than ever 
Jesus heal our nation! Bring your people back!
We have strayed so far from you! Help us to enter through the narrow gate!
Give us courage to always proclaim your truth lovingly but honestly. Amen

After the talks, Carole Ann mentioned that there were about 20 seats still available on the bus to the Cape August 23rd. All the single occupancy rooms are taken which means there are approximately 10  double occupancy rooms still available.

The 5 Day Pilgrimage begins at 8:00 am, Blessed Sacrament Parish in Ottawa Wednesday August 21, 2019 with adoration, the Holy Rosary and the Holy Mass and comes to a close in Cap de la Madeleine Sunday August 25th, 2019 
with the wrap up in the Basilica Basement hub at 9;30 
and Holy Mass in the Old Shrine at 1130
