DIOCESAN FEAST DAY CELEBRATION:

DIOCESAN FEAST DAY CELEBRATION:

At Notre Dame Cathedral, Thurs., June 8, 7:30 p.m.
To commemorate the Marian Congress of 1947 and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our diocese, and the Consecration of Canada to the Blessed Mother which occurred during that congress. There was  a beautiful procession from the Chapel at the Mother House of the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa to Notre Dame Cathedral. Leading the procession was a replica statue of Our Lady of the Cape identical to the one that was used in the consecration of Canada to the Blessed Mother seventy years ago.
