A few months ago we started a little prayer group ( thanks Jackie for initiating this ) with a prayer petitioning St. Monica to intercede for us in our worries and anxieties. As a mournful mother, of a prodigal son, Saint Monica understands a mother's heart. So after mass, we pray for the intentions that are in our hearts: our loved ones, our spouses, children, grandchildren, etc. A couple of weeks ago our parish was given this beautiful icon as a gift. Lately, I, have extended my prayers to include children who are being led astray by a society that has lied to them about their identity as children of God, male and female wonderfully made in His image and likeness. This saddens me so much. Our leaders, have let them down, by pushing this radical sexual agenda everywhere: in our schools, our hospital, and our Universities. For the sake of our children O Lord, please open the eyes of all who are blind to the harm that is being inflicted on our little ones Bring them back!
In the 50's it was lobotomies. Today it is the sexual exploitation, abuse, and mutilation of children
