Life Chain - Ottawa, October 4, 2026 - Corner of Montreal Road and Saint Laurent BLVD
There were approximately thirty in attendance, including the three priests from Annunciation of the Lord parish and a Deacon from St. Ignatius Martyr Parish in Ottawa.. We noticed there was less hostility towards us this year as compared to previous years, and there also seemed to be more positive acknowledgements, with many thumbs-ups from passers by and seemingly car honking approval.

Annunciation of the Lord Parish - Ottawa - Two pro life events - Fall 2026 40 Days for Life and Life Chain

There are two Prolife events happening now, where we come together to pray and peacefully advocate for the sanctity of life. The Rosary is a powerful spiritual weapon which we can use as we pray at the events.
God willing Maureen and I will be at both the events, and so will other members of the group. I am extending an invitation to all of you just in case you haven't heard about it and would be interested in joining us to pray together.
1. The Life chain: This Sunday, October 4th from 2-3pm at St Laurent Blvd and Montreal Road.
2. 40 days for Life: Prayers at Queen and Bank Street, near the Abortion Clinic, for a period of 40 days from September 23rd to November 1st.
- Our Prayer Group has a slot from 7am -12 Noon on Monday October 5th, the feast of St Faustina. Both Maureen and I will be there from 7 till noon, so please feel free to join us anytime in between, or in spirit if you cannot make it. There are some members of the group who plan to join us after the 9am Mass and our St Monica group prayers. which is great.
- Our Parish, The Annunciation of the Lord, also has a time slot of 2-4pm on Wednesday, October 14th, the week after next, and it would be great if you could join us on that day as well.
A big thank you for coming together to pray everyday. Very grateful for our prayer group. May the Good Lord bless us all.

40 Days for Life September 30, 2026 Ottawa - praying for an end to abortion and euthanasia
Jackie and I went to the Vigil site today. The bus was on time, and the Train was running smoothly and we arrived at the corner of Banks and Queen Streets just before 7:00 a.m. Anthony, whom we met the week before, arrived shortly after we did,
Jackie and I prayed the rosary and the Holy Face chaplet as we walked back and forth on Queen Street. After that, Anthony joined us as we prayed the rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Mary
We left the corner at 8, said goodbye to Anthony, and we were able to make it to church at the Annunciation of the Lord for Mass at 9. Thank you, God,
Hopefully, we will be back again next Wednesday to pray for the victims of abortion and euthanasia
