Children MUST be protected - It is not an option

The Million Person March for Children today in Ottawa.

God is Good all the time!!!

First of all thanks to the organizers, mainly our Muslim brothers and sisters, and to all the concerned parents, grandparents, guardians, friends, and relatives of our children. Oh and to all of our Canadian heroes such as Josh Alexander and Chris Elston, I have seen videos of both Chris and Josh being beaten and verbally abused for peacefully stating the truth. All the while the cops turn a blind eye.

(Most people know Josh who was kicked out of high school and arrested for being an advocate for girls who felt uncomfortable with guys using their washroom ) A Catholic School no less!

And Chris Elston for peacefully bringing the message of the dangers of hormones and puberty blockers, to parents and teachers. I remember when he came to Ottawa a few years ago. I watched the news media demonize him for peacefully standing outside a Westend high school while simply hoping to have the opportunity to speak about it. This was called "Hate Speech" by the MOB: countless foul-mouthed screamers, a City Councilor, and even the OCSB. Talk about cowardice. These thugs will not even listen to or debate anything that is contrary to their warped thinking. I don't think they know how to, At the time I believe he was joined by one other brave soul.

Back to the Demonstration

After mass at the Annunciation of the Lord Parish, Lorraine drove Janet, Marlene, and me to Blair Station and we took the O Train to Parliament Hill. It's seniors' day so none of us had to pay yippee! And we even figured out how to get through the turnstiles if one didn't have a Presto Card. The OC Transpo employees helped us to figure it out.

Anyways, we met Lois at approximately 10:15 at the Flame. Of course, it wasn't long before I got lost. You know me. And as I hurried to the beginning of the March down Elgin Street (so I could be near the front of the March) I ended up tripping over my feet I guess. Earlier Janet mentioned that my shoelaces were untied. Hmm that'll teach me (maybe, but not necessarily )

Anyway, I smashed my mouth on a curb or the sidewalk: not sure because I was a bit stunned. I shouldn't have been running. ( I know I know ) I think my new hat that Pat brought me back from Fatima saved me. Fr. John blessed it after mass. Just saying

Thankfully I found everybody and Madeleine as well. All were concerned and gave me tissues and offered to help me get ice to stop the swelling. I have a bit of a fat lip but it's not that bad really

Around that time A really nice young mother with her little boy saw us and immediately grabbed a whole bunch of wet wipes and gave them to me. She and her little boy talked with us and they were just so kind I wish I asked them for their names

We left shortly after that and took the O Train back to Blair Station.

Lois took the bus back to her home

What a joyful day. Thank you, God, for everything

Alleluia!

Oh yeah, most of my videos were washed out.
I still don't understand the settings on my iPhone duh

I got a few anyway

Sagrada de familia church in Barcelona.

Because of the colors of the windows, you get this effect in the church.

The crucifix has a realistic representation of how Jesus would have hung on the cross.

PIlgrimage to Fatima, Lourdes and the Shrines of Spain - Part nine

 Day  - 11  Sunday, September 17, 2023

Visit the Sanctuary of Montserrat this morning and attend Mass

Continue to the town of Manresa known for its Basilica of Saint Mary of Seo but more importantly for Pont Vell a bridge associated with the worship of St. Ignatius of Loyola. See the architectural compound of Santa Cova, the Sanctuary home of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, when he stayed in the city. Later arrive at Barcelona, the lively capital of Catalonia

Saint Ignatius's Prayer of Surrender

Take, O Lord, and receive
my entire liberty, my memory,
my understanding and my entire will.
All that I am and all that I possess,
Thou hast given me:
I surrender it all to Thee
to be disposed of
according to Thy will.
Give me only Thy love and Thy grace;
with these, I will be rich enough
and will desire nothing more.
Amen.

We attended Vespers this morning with the monks. It was beautiful. Pat

We saw the Spanish Black Madonna.

I lit candles for all our intentions. Pat

"I did not take pictures pictures going up or down the mountain. Precipitous cliffs and hairpin turns. There was no way I was going to watch the scenery." No way at all. Pat

Happy Birthday Michel!!!🎈🎂

Manresa where St Ignatius is said to have written his spiritual exercises.

The cave is now surrounded by the building you see in the picture.

 Day 10 - Saturday, September 16th 2023 -

Lourdes - Carcassonne - Montserrat, Spain

Head for the France/Spain Border, Stop to visit the fortified Citadel of Carcassonne a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the ramparts, castle walls, and drawbridges, which are still well-preserved from the Middle Ages

(I guess the building codes were stricter in those days)

One night at the Catalan impressive location of the Marian Shrine of Montserrat

for now a map
