I have read the document and I agree that it doesn't seem to change Church Teaching but that being said it sort of undermines it. Why was it necessary in the first place then? I see so many problems with this especially in this post-Christian world of ours. Immediately after the document was released Father James Martin caused scandal by jumping on the bandwagon with reporters and cameras and the whole kit and caboodle so the whole world could see it The document made it clear that any blessings must not cause scandal. And Father Martin is one of Pope Frances's favourite priests it seems so what the heck is that All about? If that's not scandalous then what is? Just saying Here in Canada, we have pornographic material in elementary schools as part of sex education and I am talking about all the schools. Our Catholic schools don’t even teach the children the Truths of our Catholic Faith anymore. The harm that is being caused to our children is so sad to see. We have girls being told they can be boys and vice versa. Puberty blockers and surgery to change one's sex is promoted everywhere. I haven’t heard our pope condemn any of this abuse. I have written to our Bishops. There is never a response. I have heard hardly a word from most of priests.

So why not a document from the Vatican addressing this problem Those with same-sex attractions are suffering and not grandstanders like what you see with the likes of “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” sacrilegious performances. The physical moral and psychological abuse in the schools with this indoctrination is criminal. And if parents try to help their kids? Lord have Mercy! Another thing is that LGBTQ+ is far more sinister than men and women struggling with same-sex attraction. There are parades every year, everywhere with the most depraved demonstrations of sexual behavior in front of little children. Men dressing as clownish women are celebrated now everywhere. Drag shows in children’s libraries. It is so insulting to women as well. Can people not see the harm? Unfortunately we seem to have a generation of very stupid parents who find the whole thing amusing I would like to add that priests like James Martin's grandstanding as he did with the LGBTQ Flag is not helping those struggling with same-sex attraction at all. All it does is make all the REAL atrocities going on right under our noses that I mentioned OK, and they are NOT OK

Well just as I was saying that the pope hasn't addressed this issue. Now he says he will address this issue. I Praise Jesus

VATICAN CITY — The Vatican’s doctrinal chief has revealed that his dicastery is writing “a very important document on human dignity” that contains “a strong criticism” of immoral trends in contemporary society.

Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, the Vatican’s prefect at the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF), told the Spanish news agency EFE on Friday that the new document will include “not only social issues but also a strong criticism of moral questions such as sex-change surgery, surrogacy, and gender ideology.”

The news comes days after Pope Francis spoke out against surrogate motherhood, calling it “deplorable” and advocating a global ban. Francis has also often criticized gender theory, referring to it as “dangerous” and “one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations” that blur the differences and value of men and women.

In November 2022,  Dutch Cardinal Willem Eijk, a former physician, called for a papal encyclical to combat the false anthropology at the heart of gender ideology. “Gender theory is being pushed in all kinds of organizations and we as a Church have not said that much about it,” he said in an interview.
