This has been one of the best days of my life.
I was so happy to finally be able to go to Mass and receive Holy Communion. Thank you Jesus!
OC Transpo now requires masks so I put one on while I was waiting for the bus. It was a bit uncomfortable because of the heat but I didn't want to be fiddling with it at the last minute when the bus arrived.
I arrived at Saint Patrick's Basilica at approximately 11:55 and the front door was open . What a welcome sight. Every third pew was available and there was plenty of room for everybody .
I think there were about 80 souls in attendance
Monsignor Beach gave a wonderful homily on the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the history of this beautiful Catholic devotion. But the highlight for me was being able to receive Holy Communion once again..
After Mass I walked to 65 Bank Street to say a few prayers
before my train ride home
Below is a short video of my little pilgrimage
