Jericho Rosary Walk Saturday August 6 2022 - Ottawa ON Canada

A Pilgrimage

Photos

After mass, today at the Annunciation Parish,  Lorraine drove Jackie, Margaret, and me to Blair Station where we took the train downtown. Jennifer met us at the Rideau Centre and the five of us walked from there to the War memorial on Wellington Street for the Jericho Walk organized by the Joan of Arc Community by John Pacheco. Thank you, John!

Videos are posted following the photos

It was quite a workout actually / physically as well as spiritually :-)
I will try to find a map of our walk and post it

Resting after that trek up those stairs ooh la la!

I took this photo ( above) of the Pilgrims and then sat down on the concrete ledge. A cop or a security guard came over and told me to go to the other side because I wasn't allowed to sit there. ???

Annunciation of the Lord Parish Ottawa ON Canada - Summer 2022

Mass Wednesday morning yesterday in the Parish hall
While renovations were being made to make the altar more accessible
Father Rob was cute. He said it was like a "camping mass"
The church hall was the location of the Vacation Bible School last week

Praying the Rosary on Tuesday morning after mass.
We started at the Grotto but when it started raining we moved to the front door of the church
but first Luzia and Margaret took refuge under the tree ( silly girls )
Then we continued to the front doors.

Safer here
Thanks Luzia for Breakfast at Tim Horton's

Reaction to Pope Francis' Visit to Canada Brian Holdsworth

The Tragic Irony - Mark Mallett

SEVERAL Catholic churches were burned to the ground and dozens more vandalized last year in Canada as allegations surfaced that “mass graves” were discovered at former residential schools there. These were institutions, established by the Canadian government and run in part with the assistance of the Church, to “assimilate” indigenous peoples into Western society. The allegations of mass graves, as it turns out, have never been proven and further evidence suggests that they are patently false.[1] What is not untrue is that many individuals were separated from their families, forced to abandon their native tongue, and in some cases, abused by those running the schools. And thus, Francis has flown to Canada this week to issue an apology to the indigenous people who were wronged by members of the Church.

A Tragic Irony

It’s a moment of deep self-reflection for both the Church and the country. But sadly, it is also a moment of deep self-deception. For while the Prime Minister and the Pope lament the injustices that took place, they are completely ignoring new injustices taking place right under their noses — and caused by them. And that is the continued segregation, persecution, and vilification of individuals who have decided against being forced to take an experimental gene therapy dubbed a “COVID vaccine”.
