Million Person March - September 20, 2024 - Hands off our Children - Parental Rights are Human Rights

After attending 9AM Mass at Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Ottawa Pat and I took the LRT downtown to participate in the March. We arrived just as the Speeches were happening. Here are a few of them below as well as a short video of the partipants leaving the Hill for the March down Elgin Street to the Human Rights Monument and then  returning to the Hill

After the March Jackie and I prayed the Chaplet of the Holy Face: for all who are blinded by this evil that has permeated society Lord Hear our prayer and have mercy on us

Thank you Kamel and to all the organizers of the One Million Person March

Setember 12 - Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary

 Quote:

The whole world is filled with her glory, and this is especially true of Christian peoples, who have chosen her as guardian and protectress of kingdoms, provinces, dioceses, and towns. Many cathedrals are consecrated to God in her name. There is no church without an altar dedicated to her, no country or region without at least one of her miraculous images where all kinds of afflictions are cured and all sorts of benefits received. Many are the confraternities and associations honoring her as patron; many are the orders under her name and protection; many are the members of sodalities and religious of all congregations who voice her praises and make known her compassion. There is not a child who does not praise her by lisping a ‘Hail Mary.’ There is scarcely a sinner, however hardened, who does not possess some spark of confidence in her. The very devils in hell, while fearing her, show her respect. ~Saint Louis de Montfort

Father James Whalen Spiritual Reading and Allocutio - Thursday February 22nd., 2007, 7:00 Pm

from the Minutes of the 809th. Meeting of Regina Pacis Curia The 603rd. Meeting of the Senatus of Ontario Saint Theresa’s Church Hall- Thursday February 22nd., 2007, 7:00 Pm

The Meeting opened at at 7:00PM, with prayers led by our Spiritual Director, Fr. Whalen. The Spiritual Reading was taken from the Legion’s handbook page 57-58Suffering in the Mystical Body Every Christian must realize that we cannot pick and chose in Christ.  Mary realized this fully even in the joyful Annunciation .  Like Mary we must welcome the King of Glory and walk with the man of sorrows to be part of His Mission to souls and to share in its sequel of Glory . It follows then that suffering is always a grace.

CATENA AND ALLOCUTIO

The Catena  was recited and led by Father Jim Whalen. It was taken from the writings of Bishop Fulton J Sheen. The Redemption of Mankind began at the Annunciation when Mary said yes to the Father’s request “ Would you make it possible for your Creator to suffer?”
