Jesus presented His heart as a remedy to lukewarmness - Homily on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Fr. Hezuk Shroff

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength and all your soul and love your neighbor with that very same love.

Lukewarmness is one of those great diseases of the soul. When Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary He pointed to His Heart and said "Behold the Heart that has so loved men but receives from them only indifference." Jesus is lamenting the fact that so many of us are lukewarm. We all should have that burning fervour.

Jesus presented His heart as a remedy to lukewarmness.
And It is really on the cross that we find  this remedy. That's why every Church has or should have the crucifix in a very prominent place in the Church because the Crucifix is what prevents us from falling into lukewarmness.  Because it is there, in Jesus suffering on the cross, where we experience how great his love for us really is

Closing of Year for Priests: Annunciation Parish, Ottawa Ontario

Yesterday evening, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Janet Warren of the Catholic Women's League of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish organized a rosary for all priests but especially for the intentions of our two priests, pastor  Monsignor Robert Latour and Father Johathon Blake.  Most of the Parish's Groups participated by taking turns leading a decade. It was beautiful, the Church was full and it was a  beautiful ending to the year for Priests proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI. Of course we will continue praying for the Pope and all our clergy.
