Thinking out loud as we celebrate Canada Day

I love Canada. I think we have one of the most beautiful countries in the world . That being said I
I don't like the direction our leaders are taking us. We all know that abortion is legal in Canada for the full nine months of pregnancy for any reason or no reason. We care more for unhatched bird eggs than pre born babies. What the heck is wrong with us anyways???

When I saw the Irish people gleefully jumping up and down with tears of joy streaming down their faces celebrating their new found right to abortion in Ireland a few weeks ago, it literally made me feel sick. They are turning into us.

What can we do? Well we just  have to keep on doing what we have always done: peacefully tell the truth.  We will continue to be vilified by our mainstream media  and our politicians as being intolerant and hateful. It's depressing actually because it's just the opposite. It's slanderous really.

The Peaceful  March for Life on Parliament Hill attended by about 20, 000 is just one example of the goodness and stamina of the second  most persecuted person in Canada. The Pro lifer. The most persecute person in Canada is the child in the mother's womb.  A handful of shrieking crude abusive protesters that don't even know what it means to be Pro Life, blocked our route for the third year in a row while the police did nothing. I can't imagine any other group of people that would have to change their route in the manner that we were forced to.

I could go on and on but there's no point. We all know of the numerous negative ways that  that the pro life  person has been treated in our country during the past year. There is no question about it; this is persecution. I heard a lawyer say not long ago say that Christianity is the most persecuted Religion in  the entire world and that includes Canada. I believe this to be true

What else can we do?  Pray Pray and  Pray some more! This is a spiritual battle.

As A Catholic I pray the rosary each day for a change in the hearts of our political leaders.

A holy priest once told me that the Rosary is the weapon against Satan

At one time the Knights of Columbus of our Parish of the Annunciation of the Lord in Ottawa, ON led us in this rosary at least a couple of times during the year. I think we should start praying these prayers again

My letter to Mayor Jim Watson

Here is a copy of the document  which prompted Mayor Jim Watson to remove the Pro Life flag at City Hall on May 11, the day of the National March for Life .  Even though this document is a lie,  unbelievably  it was signed by 7 councillors before being  presented  to the mayor. Actually, maybe it’s not so unbelievable since so many of our political  leaders don’t seem to care about truth anymore .  We see it everywhere  and in all levels of government .

My letter to the Mayor

Dear Mr Watson,

I was very disappointed when you felt you had to apologize for the Pro Life flag being raised at City Hall. You said people complained about it.  Does this mean that if I have a problem with a particular flag that, I can complain about it and you will bring it down ?

Many Canadians believe that there should be restrictions on abortion and a majority of young Canadians say abortions should not be legal after 12 weeks gestation.  This is according to the findings of an Environics poll commissioned in 2013  by Life Canada, the national educational pro-life organization https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/poll-young-canadians-want-to-restrict-abortion-to-12-weeks

I’m sure  Mr. Watson that you are aware that the unborn child is able to feel pain at around 20 weeks gestation . Obviously you are ok with that as well. http://www.gargaro.com/fetalpain.html

https://www.physiciansforlife.ca/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Fetal-Pain.pdf( the different  methods of abortion are very cruel. I won’t provide links. I think you have an idea )

For the record, would you kindly refer to us as Pro Life?  Thank you.  We believe in the dignity and sanctity of all human life whether born or preborn, regardless of age, sex, race or creed . We are Pro Life!

Currently in Canada the law is that it is ok to kill a child in the womb up until the moment of birth. Obviously you and the 7 councillors are ok with this.

You talk about a woman’s right to choose, which in itself is false because there is no such right to have an abortion in Canada.  But I’m sure you know that too. http://www.morgentalerdecision.ca/1988-decision// If a woman chooses to have a baby and her unborn child is killed through violence  from a spouse or a boyfriend then her right to choose to have her child  has been taken away from her and you’re ok with that?  Well it seems you are. .

And if a woman is coerced into having an abortion by a boyfriend, relative or whomever, well you’re obviously ok with that as well. And what about sex selection abortion, do you think that’s ok too?

You see Mr.Watson, pro life MP’s  have been working tirelessly on Bills and Motions that would help prevent these atrocities but every step of the way people like yourself have thwarted these efforts even though millions of  Canadians want some restrictions on abortion. And many more Canadians I am sure, would want restrictions on abortions too,  if they knew the truth about abortion which sadly is being kept from them by media bias not to mention some of our Government leaders. I don’t know how many times I have heard the lie from our leaders that it is a woman’s right to choose.

I think your time spent lowering the flag would have been better spent ensuring that the 14,000  peaceful Marchers were permitted to take the designated, approved, March for Life route which goes by the human Rights Monument .It seems that there were as many police as there were  rowdy vulgar protesters who were there preventing us from passing the Monument . Mr Watson, this was a violation of our right to hold a peaceful, approved demonstration.

In closing, The Right to Life is the first of all human rights.  Without the right to life there can be no other rights
